Psyllium husk is extremely light and bulky — typically ~8–10 MT in a 20ft FCL and ~12–16 MT in a 40ft FCL (volume-limited); husk powder loads slightly higher. Actual load depends on purity grade and palletisation.
Isabgol (Plantago ovata) is a Rabi crop harvested March–April in the Gujarat–Rajasthan belt (which supplies ~85% of world psyllium); processed to husk year-round.
